Our rare transverse mountain range funnels in cool ocean air, creating a perfect balance of warm days and cool nights for an ideal growing season.
Santa Maria Valley – Cool Climate
Home to our Goodchild, High 9, and Old Adobe Vineyards, this region produces exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Nestled along the Foxen Wine Trail, these vineyards sit beside some of the area’s most acclaimed sites. With diverse soils and a touch of history, this land nurtures grapes that create elegant, award-winning wines.
Los Alamos Valley – Moderate Climate
Stretching over a mile along Highway 101, our Los Alamos Vineyard grows over 20 grape varieties, including those from Rhône, Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Italy. Some vines trace their heritage back to cuttings from Europe, making this vineyard a cherished piece of California wine history.
Santa Ynez Valley – Warm Climate
Our Valley View Vineyard slopes toward the Santa Ynez River, producing top-tier Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. The hilltop vines yield outstanding Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec, adding complexity to our bold reds. Planted in 1974, these vineyards still thrive today, a testament to our dedication to sustainability and craftsmanship.
