2000 – The Beginning
Flying Goat Cellars takes flight! Winemaker Norm Yost launches his own label and crafts the first vintage of Pinot Noir.
2001 – First Pour
We debut our wines at the Santa Barbara County Vintners Festival. Our website and newsletter go live!
2005 – Bubbles and Gris Arrive
Introducing Goat Bubbles Rosé and our first Pinot Gris from Nielson Vineyard. Cheers to sparkling beginnings!
2007 – Award-Winning Wines
We bring home Best in Class and Red Sweepstakes Winner at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition for our 2005 Pinot Noir. Big smiles all around!
2007 – YNOT?
We launch YNOT, our second label, featuring Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County.
2008 – New Home, New Adventures
We buy our winery space at Crown Laurel and open a cozy tasting room in the Lompoc Wine Ghetto.
Kate Joins the Herd
Norm marries Kate Griffith, and Flying Goat becomes a true family affair.
2010 – Club Celebrate Launches
We start the first sparkling wine club in Santa Barbara County! Club Celebrate brings exclusive bubbles to our fans. New Goat Bubbles label created by artist Mark Oliver.
2015 – More Bubbles, More Fun
We release the fifth expression of Goat Bubbles. Each bottle is hand riddled, disgorged, waxed, and labeled with love.
2019 – 20 Harvests and Counting
Norm celebrates 20 harvests with Flying Goat Cellars. What a journey!
2021 – We’re 21!
Flying Goat turns 21—finally legal to drink our own wine! We celebrate all year long.
