Axe Throwing – Solvang Danish Days – Saturday

11:00 AM–9:00 PM

Throw like a Viking at the Danish Days axe-throwing arena. Boy Scout Troops 41 and 87 host this exciting activity. The public is welcome to participate.

Try 10 throws for $10. Purchase tickets at the entrance to the Viking Beer & Wine Garden.

Participants must be 13 or older. Guests ages 13–17 must have a parent or guardian present. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Æbleskiver Eating Contest – Solvang Danish Days – Saturday

11:30 AM | Midgaard Pavilion

Think you can eat the most Æbleskiver in five minutes? Put your skills to the test at the Danish Days Æbleskiver Eating Contest.

The contest takes place at the Midgaard Pavilion in Parking Lot 2, next to the Danish Days Viking Beer & Wine Garden. All ages are welcome to compete.


Viking Beer & Wine Garden

12:00–9:30 PM

Relax and enjoy an outdoor beer and wine garden during Danish Days. Your visit helps support the Solvang Danish Days Foundation.

Guests must be 21 or older to enter the garden and purchase alcoholic beverages.


Danish Days Organ Concert | Bach’s Lunch: A Musical Smorgasbord!

1:00 PM | Bethania Lutheran Church

Enjoy a special Danish Days concert with festival favorite and world-renowned organist James Welch. Welch returns by popular demand to perform on the authentic pipe organ at Bethania Lutheran Church.

Hear a lively mix of music from the Baroque era to contemporary favorites. The program includes folk tunes, opera and Broadway selections, Old World melodies, California influences, and, of course, some Bach.

Welch also has Danish roots. His grandmother was a Sorensen, and he credits his Danish ancestors with inspiring his love of music.

Danish Days Parade – Solvang Danish Days – Saturday

2:30 PM

Experience one of Danish Days’ most anticipated traditions—the Danish Days Parade! Watch the Solvang Village Band ride atop the Carlsberg Beer Wagon, along with colorful floats, equestrians, Village Dancers, and more.

The parade lineup begins at 1:30 PM on First Street near Molle Way. The parade then travels through downtown Solvang before finishing back near First Street.

Everyone is welcome to participate, and there is no charge to join the parade.


Comedy Industries

4:00 PM | Solvang Park

Enjoy more laughs under the trees in Solvang Park with Comedy Industries. Scott Meltzer and Katrine Spang-Hanssen entertain the crowd with comedy, tricks, jokes, and plenty of audience participation.

Enjoy a full evening of free live music at the Midgaard Pavilion Stage in downtown Solvang. The stage is located in Parking Lot 2, next to the Danish Days Viking Beer & Wine Garden.
