Step back in time for an unforgettable evening beneath the harvest moon at the historic ruins of the Old Juan Flores Adobe.
As autumn settles over Foxen Canyon and the vineyard glows in the evening light, guests will gather at one of Santa Barbara County’s most remarkable historic sites. The adobe, an enduring remnant of California’s early ranching era, was visited by President Theodore Roosevelt during his travels through the Central Coast in the early 1900s.
The evening begins with a sparkling wine reception as the sun sets behind the vines. Guests will then be welcomed into the adobe ruins, where a beautifully appointed communal table awaits among the earthen walls. Lanterns and candlelight will illuminate the historic setting, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and timeless.
Acclaimed Chef Melissa will prepare a three-course supper over open flame, drawing inspiration from the flavors, traditions, and spirit of Roosevelt’s era. The menu will feature seasonal ingredients and a signature game course, thoughtfully paired with two estate wines selected exclusively for the evening.
Adding to the experience, guests will have the opportunity to view and photograph a rare artifact from Theodore Roosevelt’s years in public service—an authentic piece connected to his time as Vice President—providing a tangible link to the statesman whose journey once brought him to this remarkable place.
This is an intentionally intimate gathering, limited to just 30 guests.
Pricing: Approximately $400 per person. Final menu details and ticket information will be announced soon.
Join us for an extraordinary evening of history, wine, cuisine, and storytelling under the stars.
