About Us
People Helping People (PHP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families in the Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos, and surrounding communities. We provide support in times of crisis, offer long-term family and individual services, and work as a catalyst for positive community change.
Since our founding, PHP has remained committed to addressing basic and emergency needs while promoting long-term self-sufficiency. Through compassion and collaboration, we help community members regain stability and build a better future.
Programs & Services
PHP uses a holistic, integrated model to provide a “hand up” rather than a handout. Our services are offered through Family Advocates who act as a single point of contact, helping clients navigate:
Food & housing assistance
Health care access
Youth mentorship & enrichment
Parent education
Domestic violence support
Substance use referrals
Employment readiness and more
Our “one-stop-shop” approach ensures accessibility through multiple neighborhood sites and outreach programs. Services are tailored to each client’s specific needs, from infancy through adulthood.
