Step into the golden age of the open road at the Mendenhall Museum—home to one of the West Coast’s largest private petroliana collections. Founded over 50 years ago by the late Jack Mendenhall and still lovingly curated by his family, this hidden gem in Buellton is a must-see for lovers of Americana and automotive history.
Explore vintage gas pumps, oil and road signs, race cars, license plates, and rare memorabilia. The museum also houses the Dry Lakes Racing Hall of Fame, with a biennial induction event honoring legendary land-speed pioneers.
All tours are guided, last approximately 90 minutes, and must be booked in advance. The museum also welcomes group events, including car and motorcycle club meets, reunions, and weddings—with customizable options available.
