Las Cumbres Ranch
Regenerating the Land. Raising with Purpose.
At Las Cumbres Ranch, we see ourselves as more than ranchers—we’re stewards of the land. Nestled on the Central Coast of California, our ranch is dedicated to holistic land management practices that restore native grasslands, improve soil health, and foster biodiversity.
We raise pedigree Bonsmara cattle, a hardy, environmentally adaptive breed known for thriving in dry, brittle environments while producing premium beef. As both grazers and browsers, our cattle are instrumental in fire mitigation, soil regeneration, and carbon sequestration—helping build a more resilient landscape.
Holistic Land Management in Action
We follow the natural patterns of ancient migratory herds, rotating our livestock in sync with the land’s needs. Our work is guided by nature, not against it, and includes:
Semi-permanent electric fencing to support adaptive grazing
Erosion control techniques that rebuild soil structure
Free-choice minerals to support animal health naturally
A deep commitment to low-stress livestock handling—our animals are partners, not products
Regenerative Rangeland
Our daily operations are rooted in the principles of durability, sustainability, and respect for life. With each passing season, we witness firsthand how working with nature yields not only healthier cattle but a more vibrant ecosystem.
We’re proud to share stories from the land—whether it’s a new calf in the pasture, lessons learned from a fellow land steward, or observations on our ever-changing climate. Every challenge is a learning opportunity, and every success is a testament to the power of intentional, regenerative ranching.
