Focused on the Finest
At Ken Brown Wines, we focus on small-lot Pinot Noir from top-tier vineyards like Sanford & Benedict, Radian, Rita’s Crown, and La Encantada. Every batch is carefully handcrafted at our Buellton winery, with most lots consisting of just 250 cases or less. We also create limited Syrah and Chardonnay bottlings, all made with the same dedication to quality.
A Life in Wine
Ken’s love affair with Pinot Noir began in 1976 when he tasted one of the first wines from Sanford & Benedict Vineyard. From his early days at Zaca Mesa Winery to his 20-year tenure at Byron Vineyard, he has constantly experimented with clones, rootstocks, soils, and winemaking techniques—all in pursuit of Pinot perfection.
Launching Ken Brown Wines in 2003 reignited his excitement for Sta. Rita Hills terroir, and he’s more inspired than ever to push the boundaries of quality. With years of experience and a deep respect for the land, Ken continues his quest for the next level of Pinot Noir excellence.
