Grassini Family Vineyards – Rooted in Tradition, Crafted with Love
Our story begins in 1904, when Articondo Grassini set sail from Pisa, Italy, searching for opportunity and a place to call home in America. Soon after, his wife, Afiora Tinnucci, joined him, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and a deep connection to the land. Articondo nurtured a small backyard garden, while Afiora turned his harvests into delicious meals shared with loved ones.
This passion for food, family, and the earth was passed down through generations. Larry Grassini’s father, Leo, continued the tradition, growing much of his family’s food and teaching his children and grandchildren to respect the land. Today, Larry shares that same joy with his grandchildren, teaching them the art of tending a garden at the vineyard.
At Grassini Family Vineyards, family is everything. Larry’s wife, Sharon, and their daughters Katie, Corey, Mandy, and Molly have been part of this journey from the start. Now, a new generation carries on the legacy, with Katie Grassini leading as CEO alongside her husband, Dean McKillen, the Estate Director.
Our wines are a reflection of this land, our hard work, and a family tradition that spans generations. Each sip captures a piece of our history, the beauty of Santa Ynez Valley, and the love poured into every bottle. We hope you enjoy the poetry in every glass—best shared with family, friends, and those who make life special.
Articondo would be proud. Cheers to tradition, togetherness, and unforgettable wines!
