For over 60 years, we’ve been baking tradition, quality, and a taste of Denmark right here in Solvang, California.
It all started with Arvid Petersen, a skilled Danish baker who once crafted treats for King Christian X of Denmark. He brought his passion for authentic Danish baking to Solvang in 1960, opening Danish Mill Bakery to share the flavors of his homeland. His son, Torben Petersen, carried on the legacy until 2020, and today, we proudly continue this Danish-owned, family-operated tradition.
Our Danish Pastry Chef, Henrik Gram, was born and trained in Copenhagen and has been perfecting his craft for over 40 years. He has baked for H.M. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and top diplomats—now, he bakes for you!
