Our Story
Three Generations. One Dream.
In 1996, Mike and Brooke Carhartt planted the first vines on their historic Rancho Santa Ynez™ property. Today, alongside their son Chase, they continue to farm their land and craft their wines with care, passion, and purpose.
From grape to glass, the Carhartts remain hands-on in every part of the process, using sustainable, organic, and regenerative farming practices to ensure their vineyards thrive for generations to come.

Mike’s great-grandfather, Hamilton Carhartt, founded the legendary Carhartt clothing company in 1889. While the wine and clothing businesses are separate, the family connection runs deep.
The Carhartt family in California wears the gear in the vineyards, and their Michigan cousins raise a glass in return. Rugged workwear, handcrafted wines—same heart, different craft.
