What We Stand For
At Bob’s Well Bread, we believe great bread starts with simple, honest ingredients.
We bake everything by hand, using natural starters and the finest flour, salt, and water we can find—no preservatives, ever. When possible, we source locally from growers and farmers who share our passion for purity and sustainability.
Old World Techniques, Modern Love
We take our time—because bread deserves it. By honoring European traditions and using long fermentation, our loaves develop rich flavor and texture the slow, natural way. Each loaf is a product of patience, passion, and a little bit of magic.
Being “Well Bread” Means Doing Good
We’re proud to support the community that supports us. That includes donating unsold goods to local food banks and building a business where quality, care, and kindness matter just as much as taste.
How to Care for Your Bread
Bob’s Well Bread is designed to last—thanks to our high hydration and natural fermentation—but it’s best enjoyed fresh. Can’t finish your loaf in one day? Get creative! Think toast, croutons, bread crumbs, or even bread pudding.
Storage Tips
Keep your bread at room temp in a paper, wax, or cloth bread bag. Avoid the fridge—it dries bread out. To revive a loaf, pop it in a 325˚ oven for 10–12 minutes to refresh the crust and bring out that just-baked feel.
Freezing Instructions
Freeze your bread while it’s still fresh. Wrap it tightly in plastic, then place it in a quality freezer bag. Best within a month! To defrost, let it sit in the bag at room temp for a few hours or overnight, then refresh in a 325˚ oven.
The Artisan Test
Our process isn’t fast—but it’s worth it. From mixing to proofing to baking on stone decks with steam, a single loaf takes up to 20 hours. The result? A golden crust, an open crumb, and that unmistakable aroma of bread done right.
At Bob’s Well Bread, we make bread the way it was meant to be—slow, simple, and soul-satisfying.
