As the first biodynamically farmed vineyard in Santa Barbara County, we go beyond organic. We treat our vineyards like living, breathing ecosystems. That means no chemicals—only natural harmony between land, grape, and sky.
Our wines are born on two exceptional properties: the Thomas & Judith Beckmen Estate Vineyard in Los Olivos, and the Purisima Mountain Vineyard in Ballard Canyon. Since 1994, we’ve nurtured each vine with care, learning every hill, slope, and soil type. Purisima’s rare limestone soils, found in famed regions like Burgundy and the Rhône Valley, help us grow world-class Rhône-style grapes like Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise. Syrah is our star—rich, consistent, and complex.
In Los Olivos, the slightly warmer Estate Vineyard gives us stellar Cabernet Sauvignon, along with more Rhône favorites. From fresh blends to cellar-worthy single vineyard bottlings, every sip reflects years of passion and purpose.
Family drives everything we do. Founder Tom Beckmen brought his entrepreneurial vision from the music world to the wine world. His sons, Steve and Jeff, each brought their own spark—innovation in winemaking, heart in hospitality.
