Just steps from our door, the town of Los Alamos is full of character. Explore antique shops, slow-food spots, and small-town hospitality—all within three walkable blocks. This hidden gem boasts a rich past too—Johnny Cash once played the old 1820s saloon, and the town was the backdrop for Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson’s “Say, Say, Say” video.
We designed the Alamo Motel to reflect the spirit of the land—minimal yet full of texture, inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s home in Abiquiú. Each room features custom plywood furnishings by Shaun Wallace of Gopher Wood Design, plus local art by Meagan Donegan celebrating the area’s farming roots. Elegant lighting from Atelier De Troupe adds a soft, stylish glow.
