Standing Sun is a working winery in Buellton that transforms into a live music venue a few times a year for incredible artists like Shawn Mullins. Stainless steel tanks, oak barrels, and original murals become the backdrop, and the room is set up so you are never more than 30 to 40 feet from the stage.

Beginning in the independent circles of Atlanta, Mullins rose to global prominence following the release of 1998’s Soul’s Core, featuring his chart-topping, Grammy-nominated anthem “Lullaby.” His career continued with celebrated tracks like “Beautiful Wreck,” the Olympic favorite “Shimmer,” and “Toes,” a collaborative hit with the Zac Brown Band. Marking the twentieth anniversary of his landmark album, he delivered Soul’s Core Revival, a collection of reimagined solo and full-band Soul Carnival recordings that breathe fresh life into the original songs.
