Known for timeless hits like “Jane,” “Miracles,” and “Find Your Way Back,” Jefferson Starship has been lighting up stages for five decades with their soaring vocals, rich harmonies, and unmistakable blend of psychedelic and arena rock. What began as the next chapter of the legendary Jefferson Airplane has grown into one of rock’s most enduring legacies.
Formed in 1974, the band’s lineup today features founding member David Freiberg, alongside Donny Baldwin, Chris Smith, Cathy Richardson, and Jude Gold. Together, they keep the band’s spirit alive with fresh energy and faithful renditions of their iconic sound.
Their debut album, “Dragon Fly,” climbed to No. 11 on the Billboard 200 in 1974, setting the stage for massive success. The following year’s “Red Octopus” hit No. 1, powered by the smooth, soulful anthem “Miracles.” By the late ‘70s, platinum albums like “Spitfire” and “Earth” continued their streak with beloved tracks such as “With Your Love” and “Count on Me.”
Over the years, Jefferson Starship has earned eight Gold Albums, two Platinum Albums, and one Multi-Platinum Award, as well as a Grammy nomination for “We Built This City” in 1989. Their legacy continues to inspire generations of fans with its unique blend of rock innovation and timeless melodies.
