Get ready to tee off for a great cause! The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians is hosting the 2025 Chumash Charity Golf Classic September 23–25 at the beautiful Alisal Golf Course in Solvang. This three-day tournament isn’t just about great golf—it’s about giving back to the community.
This year’s event will raise funds for three local nonprofits that make a big difference in Santa Barbara County:
Angels Foster Care, creating safe, loving homes for infants, toddlers, and sibling groups in foster care.
CALM (Child Abuse Listening Mediation), working tirelessly to prevent child abuse and provide trauma-informed support for families.
Mental Wellness Center, offering mental health education, resources, and housing to support individuals and families.
Since it began in 2005, the Chumash Charity Golf Classic has raised more than \$2 million for local charities and nonprofits—from youth programs and shelters to schools, museums, and community services. The tribe’s long-standing tradition of generosity has contributed over \$30 million to organizations across the region and the nation.
“The Chumash Charity Golf Classic allows us to support organizations that are making a real difference in people’s lives,” shared Kenneth Kahn, Tribal Chairman.
Whether you’re a golfer, a sponsor, or simply someone who loves supporting a good cause, this event is the perfect mix of friendly competition, community spirit, and fun.
