Brave & Maiden is a destination for intimate, appointment-only wine tastings, where sustainably farmed, estate-grown wines meet thoughtful hospitality and elegant ambiance.
The story began in 2010 when Rizal Risjad acquired a vineyard first planted in the 1990s. Alongside longtime friend and partner Jason Djang, the vision was clear: transform this hidden gem into a world-class estate winery. In 2011, Brave & Maiden produced its inaugural vintage—marking the beginning of a new chapter for the vineyard and the establishment of a legacy rooted in quality and community.
The name “Brave & Maiden” is inspired by the Legend of Nojoqui, a tale of star-crossed lovers near the nearby Nojoqui Falls—a symbol of unwavering devotion and bold choices. That same spirit drives our mission: to craft extraordinary wines and share them through meaningful connections.
After formative years under the mentorship of celebrated winemaker Paul Hobbs, Brave & Maiden is now led by Winemaker Josh Klapper. Our portfolio features expressive Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and our signature Limited Cabernet Sauvignon—offered exclusively at the estate and to Members.
