Axe Throwing – Solvang Danish Days – Friday
4:00–9:00 PM
Ready to throw like a Viking? Try your hand at axe throwing during Solvang Danish Days. Boy Scout Troops 41 and 87 host the axe-throwing arena. The public is welcome. Pay $10 for 10 throws. Purchase tickets at the entrance to the Viking Beer & Wine Garden.
Participants must be 13 or older. Guests ages 13–17 must have a parent or guardian present. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Free Concert in Downtown Solvang
4:00–7:00 PM
Enjoy live music from The Rincons at the Midgaard Pavilion Stage in Parking Lot 2. The stage sits next to the Danish Days Viking Beer & Wine Garden in downtown Solvang.
The concert is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Guests must be 21 or older to enter the Viking Beer & Wine Garden.

Relax outdoors with a refreshing beer or glass of wine at the Viking Beer & Wine Garden. Your visit helps support the Solvang Danish Days Foundation.
Guests must be 21 or older to enter the garden and purchase alcoholic beverages.
Torchlight Parade – Solvang Danish Days – Friday

7:30 PM
Join the festive Torchlight Parade through downtown Solvang. This free event welcomes everyone. Candles are provided.
The parade begins at Alisal Road and Laurel Avenue. Participants stroll south along Alisal Road and finish at the Midgaard Pavilion Stage.
Opening Ceremonies
8:00 PM
Celebrate the official opening of Solvang Danish Days at the Midgaard Pavilion. Meet the 2026 Danish Maid, Ainsley Haws, and hear a welcome from Solvang Mayor David Brown. The 2026 Danish Days Grand Marshals will also be introduced.
Bent Olsen and Steen Skellerup lead the singing of the national anthems. John Clark appears as Hans Christian Andersen. The Fresno Great Danes and Solvang Danish Dancers then join a festive Velkommen Street Dance with live music from 8:30–9:30 PM.
Solvang Ghost Tour
8:00 PM
Explore Solvang after dark on an eerie journey through the town’s haunted history. Hear chilling tales of restless spirits and mysterious happenings throughout the Danish village.
Use real ghost-hunting tools, including EMF meters and dowsing rods, as a local guide leads the way. Advance tickets are recommended. Space is limited.
