Los Olivos’ The Bear and Star celebrates Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 1, 2018, with a holiday brunch menu created by Chef John Cox and his team. The Bear and Star has quickly been embraced by food-conscious diners applauding the restaurant’s sustainable menu program. The restaurant is a pioneer in Santa Barbara County, in its true ranch to table philosophy, with a commitment to sourcing most of its meats, fowl and produce from the Parker ranch and organic farm or nearby purveyors, built on Santa Barbara County’s rich ecosystem.

Chef Cox’s bountiful Easter Sunday Brunch is perfect for enjoying with family and friends in the Santa Barbara Wine Country. The brunch begins with a generous portions of house-made Pastries and Fresh Fruit served family style for the table; followed by guests’ choice of main course including – Soft Scrambled Duck Eggs with Black Truffle and Chives; Cambridge House-Smoked Salmon Toast with Avocado, Scallion Crema and Watercress; Bourbon Raisin Bread Pudding French Toast with Maple Glaze and Whipped Cream; Country Benedict with Cheddar Biscuit, House Made Ham and Poached Farm Egg; and Gulf Shrimp And Grits with Bacon, Mushroom and Sherry. Dessert is the perfect ending with Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Pudding and Pecan Pie. The Bear and Star will also offer kid-friendly dishes of Scrambled Eggs and Chocolate Chip Pancakes on request and have a few surprises to keep the children entertained during Easter Brunch.
