Our Story
At Brick Barn Wine Estate, we make the wines we love and grow the grapes that inspire us.
Founded by Norman and Kathleen Williams, Brick Barn Wine Estate reflects a deep-rooted passion for wine and a desire to create something truly exceptional. The dream took shape in 2012 with the planting of the estate vineyard, followed by the first vintage in 2015. In 2018, we welcomed guests to our tasting room, opening the doors to a new chapter in our journey.
But our story begins long before the first vine was planted. In 1968, Norman acquired 40 acres of stunning land just west of Buellton. Over the decades, the property thrived as a hub of organic farming, ranching, and most famously, as a premier Arabian horse farm.
Today, Brick Barn Wine Estate carries forward this legacy with a renewed focus: crafting premium wines that express the beauty and character of our estate. Our unique location—where coastal breezes meet inland warmth—creates ideal conditions for a diverse range of varietals. Every bottle we produce is a tribute to this extraordinary land and the vision behind it.

Brick Barn Winery is a uniquely inviting event destination in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley wine country, offering flexible spaces for weddings, meetings and private celebrations of every size.
Housed in a beautifully converted Arabian horse barn, our property is naturally designed to host medium-sized gatherings that feel warm and intimate—while also offering smaller, private spaces perfect for groups of 20 or fewer. For larger celebrations, guests may reserve the entire property, allowing us to comfortably accommodate events of up to 500 guests.
Surrounded by vineyards and open countryside, Brick Barn blends relaxed elegance with a distinctly local, handcrafted character. Whether you are planning a romantic wedding, a corporate meeting, or a milestone celebration, our combination of adaptable indoor and outdoor spaces, estate wines and timeless setting creates an atmosphere designed for meaningful connection—and evenings that linger long after the last toast.
