Rancho Ontiveros

Established in 1781. James Ontiveros’ ancestor, Josef Ontiveros came from Avila Spain, through Sinaloa, MX, Loreto, Baja and into San Diego and Los Angeles with the Reyes expedition in 1781. The family landed in Santa Maria in 1855, and farming, ranching, cattle and grapes have been part of their family since the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Come hear and taste the whole story.”

Steakhouse and Seafood

Located at 1635 Mission Drive, Coast Range is a Central Coast steakhouse and seafood restaurant with a full cocktail bar, a patio, and a daytime cafe and pastry program.

The cafe and pastry shop will feature the award-winning pastries, coffee and casual lunches of Lincoln Carson, a recent finalist for a James Beard Award. Mr. Carson was chef and owner of Bon Temps in downtown Los Angeles, which was recognized as a best new restaurant from Los Angeles Magazine, Los Angeles Times, TimeOut LA, Esquire and Food & Wine.

Vaquero Bar

The Solvang restaurant’s Vaquero Bar offers a wide selection of cocktails, local wine and craft beer, along with a casual bar food menu for the outdoor dining patio. World-renowned winemaker, sommelier, author and James Beard Award winner Rajat Parr curates a focused wine list of the best of the Central Coast, Northern California classics and steak and seafood friendly wines from around the world.

Anthony Carron and Steven Fretz have joined forces for the steakhouse, which features steaks from the historic ranches in the Santa Ynez Valley, including products from the owner’s Santa Ynez ranch and seafood directly from the Santa Barbara wharfs. The menu features many classics done California style and French methods of cooking.

The Nichols Brothers

The Nichols brothers, Matt & Jeff, grew up in Ames, Iowa where their love of cooking, good food and a sense of family and community was nurtured. In the summer of 1996, they opened the original Brothers Restaurant in Solvang, which they soon outgrew. In 2002, the brothers brought fine dining to Mattei’s Tavern and are proud to have been the caretakers of that venerable spot until they opened Sides Hardware & Shoes – a Brothers Restaurant in Los Olivos in 2012.

Single Vineyard Focus

We focus on single varietal and single vineyard. Single vineyard allows us to focus on “the place” the grapes are farmed and single varietal will show how each varietal is affected by that place (i.e. soil and microclimate).

    EVAN’S RANCH Winery

    Located in the renowned Santa Rita Hills appellation of western Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County and established during the 1990s by the Gainey family, who have farmed in Santa Ynez Valley for four generations and were searching for an ideal site on which to cultivate the classic cool-climate varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

    In 2019, Chris & Kim Pelonis opened Lost Chord Guitars in downtown Solvang. Part music venue, part art and photography gallery, and one part boutique guitar shop.
