Los Alamos’ favorite locals’ restaurant, Plenty on Bell, and the town’s first winery, Bedford Winery, are teaming up to present a Charles Dickens Christmas Dinner on Friday, December 9. The evening will feature a traditional Christmas dinner by Chef Jesper Johansson, wines by Stephan Bedford and readings of Charles’ Dickens classics by visiting guest actors.

The menu features Christmas favorites including roast beef and yorkshire pudding, English trifle, Christmas plum pudding and mulled wine. Tickets include appetizers on the patio, a seated dinner, and one bottle of wine per couple. Courses will be interspersed with the Dickens readings.

Stephan Bedford was the first winemaker to open a winery in Los Alamos. He remains the only traditional winemaker left in the town, his wines being barrel aged and barrel fermented. Stephan offers tastings everyday at Bedford Winery, 448 Bell Street, Los Alamos. He’s famous for entertaining visitors with his vast knowledge of history both local and worldwide.

Chef Jesper Johansson was the first chef to call Los Alamos his home. He was a partner at the iconic Cafe Quackenbush and is now a co-owner at Plenty on Bell along with his British born partner Christine Gallagher.
